Troubleshooting

When a result is not what you expected

Identify whether the gap came from direction, context, judgment, or execution.

Compare the result with the objective

Begin with what you asked Dayric to accomplish and what the completed result makes possible. Name the concrete difference between the two before changing the prompt, plan, or output.

A precise diagnosis produces a more durable correction than asking for another answer without explaining what failed.

Locate the source of the gap

Most gaps begin in one of four places. Identifying the source tells Dayric whether to clarify the objective, gather better context, revise a decision, or repair the execution.

  • Direction: the intended outcome or priority was misunderstood
  • Context: an important source, constraint, or fact was missing
  • Judgment: the evidence was available, but the wrong tradeoff was made
  • Execution: the right direction was carried out incorrectly or incompletely

Correct the principle

Name the part that should change, why it missed the standard, and what the next result must do differently. Preserve the parts that are already strong so the correction does not become an unnecessary restart.

  1. Point to the specific gap in the result.
  2. Classify it as direction, context, judgment, or execution.
  3. State the decision rule or quality standard Dayric should apply.
  4. Ask for a focused revision and review whether the underlying cause is now resolved.

Escalate a consequential result

Contact support when the issue could affect other work, involved an unexpected external action, or persists after a precise correction. Bring the objective, result, relevant context, and approximate time.
